IOL & Toric Calculator
Plan lens power and toric cylinder for the Asqelio™ Family. Our AST VisionCare calculator is temporarily undergoing maintenance. In the meantime, you can plan your cases with the Kane calculator, using the recommended constants for each Asqelio™ model below.
Calculate with the Kane formula
The Kane calculator supports standard and toric calculations for planning Asqelio™ IOL power from your biometry.
- 1Open the Kane calculator and enter the patient's biometry.
- 2Select the Asqelio™ model. Each appears in the list as its Toric version, but it covers both lenses: choose Non-toric or Toric as the lens type below to run a spherical or a toric calculation.
- 3The default constant shown in the Kane calculator for Asqelio™ models may differ from the A-constant in the table, as it has been specifically optimized for the Kane formula.
Recommended lens constants
| IOL model | A-constant (optical)† |
|---|---|
| Asqelio™ Monofocal / Toric | 119.33 |
| Asqelio™ Pluris™ / Toric | 119.33 |
| Asqelio™ EDOF / Toric | 119.33 |
| Asqelio™ Trifocal / Toric | 119.46 |
† IOL constants have been derived from clinical evaluation results of the Asqelio™ IOLs.
The Kane calculator (iolformula.com) is an independent third-party tool, provided by its authors and not operated by AST VisionCare. Calculation results are intended to support, not replace, the clinical judgement of a qualified surgeon, who remains responsible for verifying inputs and for the final lens selection.
