IOL & Toric Calculator — Kane Formula
Plan lens power and toric cylinder for the Asqelio™ Family. For use by qualified healthcare professionals only.
IOL & Toric Calculator
Plan lens power and toric cylinder for the Asqelio™ Family with the Kane calculator, using the recommended constants for each Asqelio™ model below.
Calculate with the Kane formula
The Kane calculator supports standard and toric calculations for planning Asqelio™ IOL power from your biometry.
- 1Open the Kane calculator and enter the patient's biometry.
- 2Select the Asqelio™ model. Each appears in the list as its Toric version, but it covers both lenses: choose Non-toric or Toric as the lens type below to run a spherical or a toric calculation.
- 3The Kane calculator uses the Kane-optimised constant for each Asqelio™ model, shown in the table. It differs from the optical A-constant because it has been optimised specifically for the Kane formula, using clinical outcome data from a patient database.
Recommended lens constants
| IOL model | Kane-optimised constant‡ | A-constant (optical)† |
|---|---|---|
| Asqelio™ Monofocal / Toric | 119.23 | 119.33 |
| Asqelio™ Pluris™ / Toric | 119.23 | 119.33 |
| Asqelio™ EDOF / Toric | 119.23 | 119.33 |
| Asqelio™ Trifocal / Toric | 119.34 | 119.46 |
